Some1 has finally released his Downgrader for OFW 6.60, so that the n00bs stuck on the 6.60 OFW cam now crawl back to 6.39 firmware!

 Changes Log:

- Added support for 6.60
- 6.60 Fixed problem that did not allow to downgrade to anything greater than 6.20, thanks to Davee
- Allows any updater that is greater than or equal to the factory installed OFW (Has been not fully tested, will most likely work on 500 and up)
- Special sauce added by Proxima

Developers Note:

Important Note: This kernel exploit was not found by me. It was handed to me by Zecoxao, and it was handed to him by Davee.

Another Important note: You run the application at your OWN risk. I am not held accountable if you screw up your PSP.

After a long wait, here is the port of Davee's to 6.60/6.39/6.38 6.35/6.31 downgrader.

This is a very simple app, just put the desired destination in OFW PSP / GAME / UPDATE, and the app will read the factory installed SAW (aka, the SAW it came with), and allow any updater greater than or equal to this OFW . The range for this has NOT been tested, so I do not know which it is possible to OFWs to downgrade, For Which model, but I've tested from 6.60 to 6:20 and 6:35, 6.39 should also work. If you use the wrong updater, the update itself will error out or go back to XMB.

Depending on the PSP, even the 6.39 or 6.39 (Go) OFW is required!

Rob Heubner, chairman of the game developer Nihilistic Games, which among other things, just to Resistance: Burning Skies work, gave their opinion about Sony's new PlayStation Vita.

As for the hardware, the PSVita only shows a minimal difference compared to the PlayStation 3, Rob Heubner says Sony thus allows for smaller development studios to participate in the games development for the PlayStation Vita.

Rob Heubner:

"We're a PlayStation 3-firm. This is our technology and our engine is. And seriously: Sony had to use to search for PlayStation 3 developers to bring the power of vitamins. And I think this is definitely the right way, because it really "has plenty of power," one said in an interview with Heubner. "It has all these shaders. It has this CPU. Therefore, we must in comparison with the work on the PlayStation 3 only little change. "
Since the PSVita so technically the PS3 is very similar, the PS3 games work on forging PSVita is facilitated considerably. While we can certainly look forward to before an onslaught of PS3 ports, and smaller mini-games for the PlayStation Vita!

The Impossible Game is not so impossible, the difficulty of the side-scrolling platformer from developers FlukeDude and Grip Games. A single mistake is enough and it will bring back at the beginning of the level.

Graphics and gameplay are intentionally 2D, yet it makes the gameplay addictive after a short time, because you want to create a level necessarily. The PlayStation version contains all the original levels and level packs, and an extra heavy bonus level. On September 7 it seems that indie games on the PSN Store for PSP and PS3 will push the price of the game to only 1,99 EUR - $2.86.

Neuron has patched Sysconf_Spoofer for 6.60 ME users.

So we now can also spoof the version 6.60 ME and our MAC Address, to fool other n00bs around us. Just type in the Spoofversion.txt and the Spoofmac.txt or something and restart the PSP, then the version should be spoofed or the MAc address. There is currently still a small bug on the PSP 1000, which causes the spoofer not to spoof the MAC Address. On the PSP 2000, however, both work Perfectly.

The ticket sales ere discontinued immediately. Unfortunately, the visitors must wait outside, but, they are still entertained, by get seating and free drinks and meals. Will there be a PS2 and a PS1 emulator for the Vita on the way?

An official screenshot of the menu interface from the PlayStation Vita is currently creating a stir in the Gaming Community because this is a menu item from the PS2 title God of War, to be seen.  Does this mean that the handheld is able to play PlayStation 2 games? Would there be a logical step after the PS1 games were already on the PSP. A statement from Sony is still pending. You will probably learn more about this at the Tokyo Game Show in mid-September. They could just bundle PS1 games and PS2 games as an emulator for PlayStation Vita. Wouldn't you be happy to grab the Vita if this actually occurs.

The guys from PSPKing.de were at gamescom and have tested the PlayStation Vita's details. The details are below.

First Contact :

At first glance the elegant design makes a lot of PSVita ago. If you take the handheld for the first time but then in the hands of the processing occurs at the sight of a somewhat sobering. Many components of the handheld have been made from quite cheap looking plastic, its quality remains well below the material of the PSP. Something else to note that the four face buttons are too small a number and the unnecessarily, because despite the second analog stick on the right side would have been enough room for larger keys. So also the fairly high-placed arrangement of the face buttons is used to.

Real analog sticks with deficit ;

The analog sticks are not appropriate as the PSP as Slidepad, but tend to be free as it is used by the PS3 controller. However, one must also konstatieren too small a size. Surely this fact is also getting used to things. If you have big hands, is expected to disrupt it, but permanently. Total make the analog sticks are not the most stable and one has the feeling that they probably have no impact on duration of long life. Sony should definitely still here until the release of repair.

Plastic, plastic, plastic ... :

Because of the proportional and for almost all experts surprisingly low price of only 249 EUR for the standard model without 3G, it will not shake the feeling that underneath the build quality but suffer badly needed. It would make more sense to PSVita prefer to sell more for 50 EUR, which would still represent a reasonable price and for the controls to create robust and visually stylish. The pressure point is very successful in all keys. After all, Sony has already announced that the controls are not yet available in final form and to release at the end of the year (Japan) may still change. Maybe you produce for the Western world, a model with larger keys, especially Europeans and Americans have bigger hands than Asians, in which the already slim models traditionally sell best.

Ease :

Despite the larger surface area than the first PSP, the weight is significantly lower than the old handheld, which one would not suspect at first sight of the device. For my personal taste is the weight a little too easily and it is subtly reminiscent of a Chinese plagiarism. The touch screen responds well, however at the same time on multiple inputs. Also see the back pad made of high quality and accurate response as well as the various sensors.

Graphics and Display :

In graphic terms it has made in comparison to the PSP a significant leap forward. The hope lead to a portable PS3, you have to give up, however. Thanks to the brilliant OLED display is a indeed a sharp image presented with an almost twice as high pixel density as its predecessor, but in direct comparison to a PS3 titles such as F1 2011 you realize it but that the level of detail is very much poorer. Here one must, however, Sony also good to hold that the first PSP games and not looked like after about God of War: Ghost of Sparta. The brightness of the display is similar to its predecessor.

Games & Conclusion :

Were playable including Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, F1 2011, and Little Deviants what Uncharted is certainly most impressive. The allegedly lying on PS3-level Street Fighter X Tekken was unfortunately not represented. On an as yet unconfirmed release schedule, there are countless top titles that allow us to imagine a rosy future games.
The menu of PSVita was still locked, so you could not learn about other features of your handheld. Overall, the impression was positive, but some flaws marred it - probably due to the great hype - but noticeable. Sony will draw their own conclusions, but certainly from the feedback of gamers the world over and still think the points raised. So you are urged to continue to look forward to PSVita when they appear in the first quarter of 2012 with us.

The Good:

+ Stylish design
+ Brilliant OLED display
+ Good touchscreen sensors and detection
+ Numerous promising title

The Bad;

- Too small buttons and analog sticks
- Cheap plastic part processing

A new PSP wtf? it's not the Vita. Seriously.

Apparently Sony can not and will not say goodbye to their failure of a handheld. For now confidential sources have told us that Sony will bring us a new PSP model (E-1000) on the market for a price of 99 Euros or 140 Dollars. This new model is visually altered from the original, as you can see in the picture above. It gives the PSP a new futuristic feel to it. But, the only thing wrong with this model is that Sony won't be including WiFi so, no online gaming, no PlayStation store and no adhoc. The new PSP will be released in autumn this year and will cost 140 Dollars as told before.

What do you guys think of the new “Value” PSP ?

Here are pics of the system up-close:
